Out of sight, out of mind? Not so much. Ariana Grande can’t stop thinking about ex-boyfriend Ricky Alvarez, and it’s coming across in her music, HollywoodLife.come has learned EXCLUSIVELY. Keep reading to see how she’s coping!
At least now she’ll have some time to “Focus” on herself. Ariana Grande, 23, “has gone into the studio to pour her heart into a breakup track,” since splitting with Ricky Alvarez, 24, on July 27, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “It was her decision to be single and she is sad but also energized to get her emotions out into her work. She has spent the morning in the studio laying down some new tracks about love and loss.”
As sad as it is that the singer and her dancer boyfriend broke up after a year together, don’t heartbreak songs usually make it to the top of the music charts? Just look at Adele‘s album “21.”
Neither Ariana or Ricky have publicly commented on their split or given any insight as to why they broke up in the first place, but Ariana left a string of not-so-subtle Tweets on her account to suggest their separation, writing, “Life is wild,” followed by, “and life is f—ing fantastic!” Generally speaking, the petite songstress remained mum about her relationship with Ricky, but she did let a few cute details slip once in a blue moon! “We’re happy. I’m a very happy girl,” she gushed to Billboard in May. “I have a healthy life right now, and I think that’s all anyone cares to know. The end.”
But Ariana is no stranger to writing Ricky-inspired songs. Her album’s opener “Moonlight” was actually inspired by her beau. According to Ariana herself, “Moonlight” was written after their “first kiss.” “He waited to kiss her for a long time, and she was really impressed. He’s such a gentleman, and the song is a great little bookmark of the start of their relationship.” We can’t wait to see Ariana rise from the ashes and turn music into GOLD.
HollywoodLifers, how excited are you to hear Ariana’s new album?!
