Tim Kaine needs to make an appearance on ‘SNL’ next season because he does a killer impression of Donald Trump. The Democratic candidate for vice president made his DNC debut on July 27, when he slammed Trump and mocked him for always saying, ‘believe me.’
Tim Kaine capped off one of the biggest nights of his life with a commanding speech, encouraging the delegates at the Democratic National Convention to believe in a Clinton/Kaine ticket. But he also took the time on stage to mock Donald Trump.
You see, Donald Trump likes to tell people to “believe” he’ll get things done, but he never shows them how he’ll do that. Not only did Tim point that out, but he did so while impersonating the former Celebrity Apprentice host. And then, he told viewers not to believe a single word that comes out of Donald’s mouth. Tim is well-liked in the political world, and while he’s not the most liberal of Democrats, he has a strong voting history that puts him in line with Hillary Clinton‘s ideals. While many thought Hillary would pick Elizabeth Warren or Cory Booker, she selected Tim as her running mate, the quiet Senator from Virginia who’s self-described as “boring.” But he’s a battleground-state politician with a working-class past, and a 100% voting record on Planned Parenthood!
So naturally, Donald Trump and Mike Pence feel extremely threatened by him. So funny. And sad. Because Trump has no idea who Tim even is. During a press conference, Trump started bashing Tim about the terrible job he’s done…as the governor of New Jersey. Trump confused Tim with former New Jersey governor Thomas Keane in a major gaffe, criticizing him for a major tax hike in the state. That’s…bad.
