Lenny Kravitz knows how to work the crowd! The rocker hit the stage at the 2016 Democratic National Convention on July 27, putting on an EPIC rendition of ‘Let Love Rule’ while taking it up a notch by playing his guitar. HollywoodLife.com has the scoop on his amazing performance!
If there’s one thing Lenny Kravitz, 52, has it’s charisma — and he proved that during his show-stopping moment on day three of the DNC, showing his support for Hillary Clinton, 68. The Grammy-Award winning artist hit the stage in Philadelphia and brought his swag with him, rocking a black knit poncho and tribal statement necklace, while strumming the strings on his guitar. Lenny totally entranced the audience with his striking presence as he held tight to the microphone and crooned all the notes to perfection. His live band also took the cake!
Lenny was one of many artists making their voices heard to ensure that Hillary becomes the first woman to serve in the Oval Office. On July 27, songstress Andra Day, 31, flaunted her vocal prowess with “Rise Up,” giving the audience a taste of her stellar vibratos. Meanwhile, Alicia Keys, 35, showcased her plethora of skills, taking to the drums while using her powerhouse voice on a medley of her songs including “Girl on Fire,” “Superwoman,” and “In Common.” Demi Lovato, 23, also put on an epic rendition of her hot single “Confident” after her empowering speech about mental illness the night prior.
The “American Woman” rocker’s performance comes on a big night, considering Barack Obama, 54, is finally taking the stage to address why he feels Hillary would be the right fit to lead our country for the next four years. Lenny doesn’t plan on stopping there — he’s also set to put on a free concert nearby on July 27, alongside Lady Gaga, 30, and DJ Jazzy Jeff, 51, at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey. Can’t wait to see it!
