You see a lot of great cosplays at SDCC, but who knew that Henry Cavill could pull off one of the best costumes we’ve ever seen? The ‘Justice League’ star managed not to get recognized by anyone, even Will Smith! Click through to watch the hilarious video!
A lot of people walking the auditorium floor at San Diego Comic-Con on July 23 thought that they were just bumping up against your average bro wearing a Guy Fawkes mask (believe us, there are a lot of them) and a Suicide Squad t-shirt! But surprise! It was Henry Cavill, noted babe and Superman himself, playing a mean trick on everyone. How disappointed would you be to know that you could have been standing this close to Henry and not known it??
“Here we go. Gonna head onto the floor and see if I can get away with it,” Henry tells the camera as he pulls his Guy Fawkes mask over his perfect face. “Wish me luck!” The camera follows the Man of Steel perusing comics and merchandise around the Hall, even picking up some Superman gear. He poses with Con attendees who seem to dig his mask, too!
The best part, by far, is when he pretends to be a fan waiting in line for Will Smith‘s autograph at the Suicide Squad table. Henry crouches down next to Will to get a picture, and takes off his mask when Will’s looking at the camera. When he turns back to look at his “fan,” he’s scared out of his chair to see it’s actually his pal Henry! So funny!
It was a huge day for Henry at SDCC, so it must have been nice to have the chance to take a break and goof around for at least a little bit. The DC panel was one of the main attractions on July 24, and with that came both the poster and teaser trailer for Justice League. We can’t wait for 2017!
HollywoodLifers, are you surprised that nobody recognized Henry on the Hall floor? Tell us in the comments!
