Brace yourself, ‘Walking Dead’ fans. Ahead of the Comic Con panel with the cast of ‘The Walking Dead,’ AMC revealed the character shots — and calling them intense would be an understatement.
It’s no surprise that each photo, shared on the show’s official Twitter account, features the bat, in some way, shape or form — and a little message. For example, one reveals that the first trailer will air at 4PM ET on Friday, July 22, at the San Diego Comic Con panel! Above Daryl’s photo (Norman Reedus), is the quote, “The boogey man ain’t sh-t.”
Above Rick’s tearful pose (Andrew Lincoln), “Everything we’ve done, we’ve done together.” And then there’s Aaron’s (Ross Marquand), whose quote is “I owe her.” Eugene (Josh McDermitt)’s photo may be the saddest, and is captioned “I’ll be your anchor man, yes I damn will.”
We know that some people have seen that opening scene of The Walking Dead premiere that will reveal who Negan took out at the end of last season. Executive Producer, Greg Nicotera, directed the premiere that we’re all waiting for, and even he said it’s been tough.
“Some of the incoming directors, when they come in, they read all the scripts,” Greg said, via ComicBook.com. “As the cuts are available, we want them to see the show because we want them to get a flavor for what we’re doing visually. A couple of people have seen it and then they stand next to me for about 24 hours going, ‘F–k!’ And I’m like, ‘What?'”
He also admitted that the trailer, of course, and on the panel at SDCC on Friday, Negan’s victim will not be revealed. “It’s gonna be tricky because it’s like, ‘What do you talk about?'” he said, Well, we’ll be waiting!
