It finally happened! During the July 19 episode of ‘Pretty Little Liars,’ [SPOILER] got down on one knee and proposed to his longtime love. Who was it? Read our recap to find out!
Alison (Sasha Pieterse) returned home from the hospital on the July 19 episode of Pretty Little Liars, but she told Aria (Lucy Hale) she must remain in Mary Drake’s (Andrea Parker) care until a social worker is assigned to her case. Once inside, Mary told Alison about how she got involved with Rollins, insisting she only wanted justice for Charlotte’s death, and she had no intention of hurting or trying to kill Alison. For that, she blamed Rollins’ manipulation.
After a trip to NYC to see Nicole’s parents, Ezra (Ian Harding) returned home to Aria and told her all about his visit and how he wants to move forward with his life.
Mona (Janel Parrish) recovered deleted texts on Rollins’ burner phone, and one in particular said, “Alison didn’t kill Charlotte.” So does this mean they killed him for no reason? Was he really not trying to kill Alison?
OMG — is Nicole alive? While at Ezra’s apartment, Aria answered an incoming call from her, but when she said, “Hello?” no one responded. So she deleted the phone call from Ezra’s history.
Emily (Shay Mitchell) missed her test because she had a late-night date with Sabrina, but A.D. managed to do her a favor and get her a passing grade. He or she just asked the “ungrateful bitch” to thank him or her later. (Gulp.)
Not wanting to sit around and wait for more bad things to happen, Emily decided to use Rollins’ burner phone to contact the mystery person he used to text and set up a meeting.
Poor Alison. Rollins emptied out her checking and savings accounts, leaving her with absolutely nothing. Mary Drake reassured her all will be okay once the police find him, but as we and Alison already know, he’s dead.
Jenna paid a visit to Alison’s house “to find out how she was doing” even though she was surprised to see Alison standing before her. (Well, technically, she can’t see, but…) When Jenna heard Rollins no longer lives there, she seemed surprised. Then, Alison told her the next time she talks to Archer (Rollins), tell him to “go to hell.” And that’s when Jenna said, “Maybe he’s already there.” So does she know the liars killed him? That’s not clear yet, but she later met up with Sarah Harvey!
Emily and Aria paid a visit to Rollins’ burner apartment, where they found some suspicious items, including a ledger and a passport. Then, Toby (Keegan Allen) showed up! Apparently, the police found out about the place when they searched his abandoned car. Toby told the girls to scatter before he calls for backup.
Rosewood PD’s new detective, who just so happens to be the guy Spencer (Troian Bellisario) hooked up with in the elevator, told Alison that Rollins used his credit card to rent a car in Baltimore. But that’s strange because he’s supposed to be dead. So did he survive? (Uh oh.)
After, Ezra texted Aria and told her to meet him at The Brew. When she arrived, he had candles lit everywhere. He then gave this big romantic speech about the history of their epic romance before getting down on one knee and proposing! Unfortunately, we have no idea what her answer was because the scene cut off right after he asked. See more pics of the ring here!
And then, Noel Kahn (so hot!) made a return, meeting up with both Jenna and Sarah — what the heck could they be up to?! We’re scared, but we hope it has something to do with him taking his shirt off. Seriously. “Did you miss me?” he asked. Um, heck yes we did!
