Congratulations! Two-time ‘Survivor’ winner, and two-time cancer survivor Ethan Zohn married his beautiful fiancée, Lisa Heywood! The longtime couple married in a sweet ceremony on July 16. Click through for all the beautiful wedding details!
Ethan Zohn married girlfriend of two years, Lisa Heywood, in the the formal gardens of the Park McCullough House in North Bennington, Vermont on the night of Saturday, July 16. It was an especially joyous day for the Survivor winner, who victoriously battled a rare form of cancer, CD20-positive Hodgkin’s lymphoma, not once, but twice. First diagnosed with the disease in 2009, he announced he was finally cancer-free in 2013.
Ethan, who beat his second bout of cancer after receiving a stem cell donation from his brother, told People he knew “that all the happy and sad tears in my life will disappear in [Lisa’s] presence” at his wedding. That is so sweet. Ethan and Lisa said their “I-dos” underneath an arched chuppah covered in flowers and a cloth handmade by Lisa for their traditional Jewish ceremony.
Ethan sweetly wore his late father’s tallit (prayer shawl), wrapped over a smart ivory linen and silk, custom-made cloth. Lisa was a total vision in a champagne beaded lace mermaid gown, made by Israeli designer Inbal Dror from Mark Ingram Atelier. She topped the gorgeous look with a headpiece she handmade (so crafty!), using beads Ethan’s mom, Rochelle, gave her!
The couple danced at the luxe mansion, as the band The Hair Farmers performed. Ethan and Lisa met at a meeting at the Clinton Global Initiative charity event and got engaged in July 2015. They said that they were excited to “getting chubby and growing old together, and the potential we have to make the world a better place by the virtue of being together as one.”
HollywoodLifers, help us congratulate Ethan and Lisa in the comments!
