We’ve all said it before — but this time, I really mean it. Britney. Is. Back. Her new song not only knocked Justin Timberlake off the top iTunes chart (cry me a river!), it also sounds like the Britney that we’ve always loved.
Of course, the last song she released was “Pretty Girls,” featuring Iggy Azalea, and while I love I-G-G-Y, that one wasn’t what we needed — this is. She calls the song “a little melodic, a little more not so pop-py” and “very chill,” according to E!
She also told V magazine that her upcoming album is also “the best thing I’ve done in a long time. I’m proud of the work, and it’s very different; it’s not what you would think at all.” Well that, we can tell.
The album has taken about two years for her to complete, and will also include a new song she’s been teasing on her Instagram, “Private Show,” which is of course, just as sexy (if not more) than this one. They’re both sensual and emotional.
“I just want you to make me move, like it ain’t a choice for you, like you got a job to do,” Brit sings. “Just want you to raise my roof, something sensational (oh yeah).”
I had the chance to see Britney in Las Vegas just last week, and can say that these new songs will be amazing additions to the set — they’re upbeat, they’re emotional, and more than anything, they’re Brit. While her last album, Britney Jean, did have a few hits — who doesn’t love Work B–tch, I can tell already that this one’s about to change the game for her.
