He’s back! In fact, Negan won’t be going anywhere any time soon when ‘The Walking Dead’ returns in October 2016. Click inside to see the first photo of him from the upcoming seventh season!
When The Walking Dead returns in October 2016, we are picking up exactly where we left off: the gruesome death scene. In this very first official still released from the highly anticipated seventh season, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) wields his trusty Lucille with a smile on his face. Eek.
Now that Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been promoted to series regular, we can rest assured that we’ll be seeing a whole lot of Negan in The Walking Dead‘s seventh season. To ease our anxiety over the premiere which won’t be until October 2016, AMC has released an EXCLUSIVE first look at Negan to EW.
The still looks awfully familiar, as it shows Negan in the same scene the series ended on in cliffhanger season six finale. However, it’s worth noting that the still shows Negan before he takes his bat to one unlucky survivor’s skull. Not only does his leather jacket look pristine without a speck of blood on it, but you can very clearly see that Lucille is clean as a whistle, too. Yikes!
🚨The first peek at season 7 of #TheWalkingDead is HERE.🚨 😱 If it looks a lot like the end of season 6, that’s no accident. Executive producer Greg Nicotero told us, “Yes, who was at the receiving end of Negan’s bat will be revealed in the first episode.” Click the link in our bio for more insider details on season 7.💯‼📷: Gene Page/AMC

The argument over who loses their life to Negan seems endless, especially since the answer has been kept under lock and key ever since season six ended. In fact, it’s being reported that each and every actor in the scene filmed their own death scene so that no one — not the cast, crew, or anyone involved — would actually know who the directors choose until much later. Clever, huh?
Don’t forget to check out my HollywoodLife.com says in which I offer a detailed explanation as to why I believe Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) is the one to die. Plus, there’s a terrifying new theory that it might actually be our beloved Maggie (Lauren Cohan)!
