OMG! Draymond Green couldn’t get ahold of his anger when he allegedly got in a bar fight on July 10. Not sure how the other guy turned out, but Draymond ended up in handcuffs! See his arrest here!
Uh-oh! Draymond Green, 26, is in big trouble and it’s not for kneeing another player in the you know what! This time, the Warriors star was arrested outside of a bar in East Lansing, Michigan on July 10, after allegedly slapping a man in the bar in the face! Yikes!
In the shocking arrest video, Draymond was being escorted out by two officers, as seen from a video obtained by TMZ. His back was turned to the camera and his head was down, but many bystanders recognized him immediately. Some began yelling his name, while others questioned why he was being arrested in the first place.
Draymond was hanging around in the Michigan bar, Conrad’s Grill on a late Sunday night when a man began heckling him, according to TMZ. Apparently, the man, who is allegedly a Michigan State University student athlete, continued until Draymond finally had enough and slapped him, as recalled by witnesses in the bar. Unfortunately for Draymond, it wasn’t his lucky day. Police officers nearby saw the whole thing and arrested and booked the NBA player instantly on misdemeanor assault charges!
“It was basically an altercation between two guys,” police at the scene told ESPN. “There’s no injuries.” But still, police aren’t letting go of the incident just yet. “At this point, we are collecting information and will have no further comment until we have a better understanding of the situation,” police officers continued.
Lt. Scott Wrigglesworth from the East Lansing Police Department couldn’t confirm whether the assault was a punch or a slap, which will help determine the extent of Draymond’s fine, according to ESPN.
It’s a little weird that Draymond would allegedly assault a fellow MSU Spartan, especially seeing how he played four season for the Division I basketball team before entering the 2012 NBA Draft. But we’re guessing the alleged victim pushed just the right button to make Draymond lose his cool.
Draymond was released from jail on a $200 bond on July 10, but he is due back in court on July 20. The Warriors All-Star is set to join Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Rio, so hopefully he can get everything squared away and avoid any more bar fights.
HollywoodLifers, are you shocked Draymond was arrested for slapping some one?
