Serena Williams slays on and off the tennis court! The tennis champ celebrated her 22nd grand slam title at the Wimbledon Champions Dinner in a glam red and jewel encrusted gown. Get the details on her gorgeous look, ahead.
Serena Williams, 34, was glowing on July 10 at the 2016 Wimbledon Champions Dinner, and we have a feeling her historic 22nd grand slam title had something to do with it. Celebrating in style, Serena attended the dinner at London’s Guildhall in a floor-length red gown with jeweled detailing along the bodice.
For her big event, Serena ditched her tennis whites for a much more colorful (and formal) look. After defeating Angelique Kerber to win her seventh Wimbledon singles title on July 9, Serena glammed it up for the dinner the very next night.
For the formal event, Serena opted for a floor-length gown that included a flowing red skirt and fitted bodice that added some sparkle to her look with its jewel-encrusted fabric. In addition to the beaded detailing, Serena’s gown also included a keyhole cut at the front and cut-outs at the back that showed off her toned body.
Keeping her accessories to a minimum, Serena paired her intricate gown with a classic watch, and opted to wear flat sandals, which were covered by her dress.
The rest of Serena’s look included glowing skin with barely-there makeup and a super shiny blowout. While we’re used to seeing Serena with her long hair pulled back to keep it out of her face on the tennis court, for the Wimbledon Champions Dinner she switched it up with polished loose waves that were parted off to the side. Meanwhile, her makeup was kept simple with clean skin, a touch of mascara and a soft pinky-nude lip.
