‘Mr. Robot’ makes its highly-anticipated return on July 13. Before grabbing your popcorn and watching the premiere, here’s everything you need to know about season 2!
Mr. Robot is back for season 2, and we’re all so ready. Elliot, Darlene, Mr. Robot and the rest are all back for more on July 13. Make sure you’re caught up on everything Mr. Robot before the season 2 premiere — check out our list of things to know now!
1. The show premiered early — intentionally.
The season 2 premiere was “leaked” online on July 10 by the show’s creators for one night only. If you weren’t paying attention to social media, you’ll have to wait until the official premiere on July 13!
2. Mr. Robot is going to “really dark places” in season 2.
“I would say you are going to be immersed in each and every one of these characters’ story this year” Rami said. “It’s so interesting. I don’t know how to say it. There’s so much that goes on in every scene that it’s hard to peel your eyes away and you don’t want to. There’s a lot of information coming your way, I will say that, but so much of it is done in an entertaining way that moves the show forward at a furious pace, one that takes everyone down to some really dark places.”
3. There’s going to be an after show!
The second season will premiere on July 13 with back-to-back episodes. Following the premiere, the live after show Hacking Robot will premiere. The show will give a “behind the scenes look at the breakout drama.”
4. The season’s been expanded.
The second season of Mr. Robot was originally supposed to be 10 episodes, but it was later extended to 12 episodes. The more Mr. Robot, the better!
5. Your fave characters will all be back.
Yep, Elliot, Darlene (Carly Chaikin), Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) and Angela (Portia Doubleday) will all be back for round two. Mamie Gummer and Craig Robinson have also joined the cast for the second season.
