We loved waking up to this today! Jennifer Lopez and Lin-Manuel Miranda give a powerhouse performance of their new song, ‘Love Make the World Go Round’ this morning and it’s certainly got us feeling inspired. Watch the video here!
In a simple, yet potent performance this morning, Jennifer Lopez, 47, and Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda, 36, warmed our hearts. The two sang with a purpose on the TODAY show for the victims of the recent violence in Baton Rouge, Dallas, and Orlando in all white to make a powerful statement about remaining strong in the face of tragedy.
The performance starts out with J-Lo standing alone on stage in statement lace pants. She sings the anthemic, “Love” to a rainbow flag waving audience that actually consisted of some nightclub shooting survivors as well as family members of some of the victims. Fans that weren’t at the NYC performance expressed their love for the duo via live twitter feed, voicing their praises for the new hit single and hashtagging #LoveMaketheWorldGoRound.
Lin joins Jennifer halfway through the performance, stepping through the crowd and delivering a stunning verse that gave us chills. “What we got is love even when the sinners hate us,” Lin raps. “We can not let ’em diminish or intimidate us.” The performance concluded with the two hugging and a loud round of applause from the live audience. “Love Make the World Go Round” has been climbing the charts since it’s initial release and is already in the Top 20 on iTunes.

It’s really inspiring to see some of the world’s biggest stars at the moment teaming up for a purpose. The two had been teasing the track for a while before it’s release on July 8. From then until October 5, J-Lo, Lin, and Epic Records will be donating 100% of their proceeds from each U.S. download of the heart warming single to the Hispanic Federation for the Somos Orlando Fund — so go get the track while it’s for a good cause!
