Draymond Green may be trading his Golden State Warriors uniform for a prison uniform. The NBA champion was arrested on July 10 for assaulting ‘a male victim’ while he was in East Lansing, Michigan!
Uh-oh. Draymond Green, 26, is in trouble again! The Golden State Warriors star player is known for getting physical while on the court. However, Draymond didn’t get into another playful scuffle. He’s been busted for allegedly assaulting someone!
Draymond was reportedly arrested for assault on July 10 in East Lansing, Michigan, according to TMZ Sports. Unfortunately, not much else is known about the case at the moment. At first, the East Lansing police department wouldn’t even admit that they had arrested Draymond, saying, “the…department is not confirming any arrest with that name,” per MLive. However, they finally shed some light on this case.
“On Sunday morning July 10 around 2:30 A.M, Draymond Green was arrested for assault on a male victim, who was uninjured,” Scott Wrigglesworth, East Lancing Police Dept. Public Information Officer, said in a statement to HollywoodLife.com. “This occurred in our downtown business district. Mr. Green was taken to our East Lansing Police Dept where he posted a $200 bond and was released Sunday morning. He’ll have to return within ten days for to address this incident.”
As to whom Draymond allegedly assaulted, why he supposedly did it or any other circumstances – those facts are still being figured out. Draymond is a native of Saginaw, Michigan and he attended school at Michigan State University, located in East Lansing. The #23 power forward was back in his home state to attend a wedding, according to TMZ.
If the NBA champion really did assault someone, it wouldn’t really be the first time Draymond has gotten into a physical altercation. During the 2016 playoffs, it almost seemed like he thought he was in the UFC instead of the NBA. While going up against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals, Draymond kicked OCK player Steven Adams, 22, in the groin! Ye-ouch!
It didn’t stop there! Even though Draymond avoided a suspension for his low blow against Steven, the league slapped the Dubs player with a 1-game ban after he punched LeBron James, 31, in the crotch! Despite this bad blood with the Cleveland Cavaliers star player, the two of them hugged it out after the Cavs won the title. Will Draymond be able to get off the hook over this alleged assault with a hug?
We’ll keep updating this story with information as it becomes available, HollywoodLifers. In the meantime, what do you think this alleged assault charge will do for Draymond’s career?
