This is so devastating. Jerry Greer, the son of country singer Craig Morgan, has been missing since the afternoon of July 10, when the tube he was riding in on the Tennessee River was involved in a scary accident. There has been no sign of the 19-year-old since.
Craig Morgan’s son was involved in a “freak accident” while riding in an inner tube on the Tennessee River July 10, and he still has not been found. Jerry Greer is just 19 years old, and police are frantically searching for him in the river.
Jerry was being pulled by a boat while riding an inner tube in the river on the afternoon of July 10, when he collided with another friend who was also in a tube, WSMV-TV reports. There were reportedly no signs of drinking during the outing, and it’s being considered a “freak accident,” according to TMZ.

The 19-year-old had a flotation device on at the time of the accident, but while his friend resurfaced after the collision, Jerry did not. Police, helicopters and rescue boats are currently searching the river for any signs of the country singer’s teenage son.
“The family is grateful for everyone’s support and prayers and requests privacy during this difficult time,” Craig said in a statement via his publicist. Search is reportedly being focused on a 5-10 acre area of the river, where the water could be up to 15 feet deep.
“It is a big area that we’re looking at, so we’re going to try and review the statements that we have from our eyewitnesses and narrow that down today,” a boating accident investigator confirmed. The crews are using an underwater vehicle to scan the area and up to 50 boats could be used in the search.
