It’s the question we’ve all been wondering: Is Calvin Harris’ new song, ‘Ole,’ about how Taylor Swift cheated on him with Tom Hiddleston? The track’s vocalist, John Newman, dished all about it in a new interview, and his lack of denial has us thinking the answer is definitely ‘yes!’
John Newman, 26, just broke his silence about his buzzed-about new song with Calvin Harris, 32, “Ole,” and obviously he was asked about whether or not the scathing lyrics are about Taylor Swift, 26. Find out what he had to say — hint: He does NOT deny it!
“I just went in and sang the song,” John explained on BBC Radio 1. “The lyrics…he wrote and I sang them. I just had to relate to it in my own way.”
As we previously told you, Calvin reportedly wrote the song when he found out about Taylor’s relationship with Tom Hiddleston, 35, after their split. The song is told from the “other man’s” point of view, and tells the story of a woman being unfaithful to her boyfriend for him. See the evidence that the track could be about Taylor HERE.
However, sources from Taylor’s side say that the 35-year-old actually wrote the song before Tom was even in the picture, and that it’s not about her at all. What are we supposed to believe, you guys?!
Based on what we know, though, we don’t blame Calvin for feeling scorned by his split from the 26-year-old. After all, just two weeks after news of their split went public, Tay was photographed kissing Tom on the beach in Rhode Island on June 15. Since then, they’ve been inseparable, flaunting their PDA all over the world.
The lovebirds landed in Australia on July 8, where Taylor is joining Tom as he films Thor: Ragnarok. But what we really need to know is this: When is Taylor going to retaliate with a song of her own!?
HollywoodLifers, do you think “Ole” is about Taylor?
