Ah, young love! Bindi Irwin and her longtime beau, Chandler Powell, are certainly head over heels for each other. So are the two lovebirds planning on tying the knot in a romantic ceremony on her upcoming 18th birthday? Find out here!
Bindi Irwin, 17, daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, can’t help but swoon over her boyfriend Chandler Powell, 19. And the feeling is certainly mutual — considering they both share a love for the outdoors and each other. So, will the pair be taking the next step in their relationship by saying their “I-dos” to commemorate her first year of legal adulthood on July 24?
“There is no truth to these rumors, just tabloids being tabloids,” Bindi’s rep told ET in a statement on July 6. Cue the awes! Aside from Bindi’s birthday being considered as the date of their nuptials, others were also speculating that the couple would marry on Sept. 4, which would mark the 10th anniversary of her legendary father’s death. When previously asked if Chandler could be “the one,” Bindi admitted they do share a very special connection, but also noted that she wants to experience many more of life’s milestones before getting married. “He’s a huge part of my journey in life,” she said. “I’m looking forward to a lot of things. There’s so much on the horizon!”
Bindi did note that her wake boarder beau is a pivotal person in her life and has proven to be extremely supportive of her, “He’s always there for me, and he always makes me smile and laugh. It’s brilliant to have someone so kind who really understands your world.”
She even added that he’s received the seal of approval from her loved ones, “Chandler is a part of the family now. I don’t know who loves him more, me or my family.” Chandler was even there for the wild-life lover when she took her talents to season 21 of Dancing With The Stars. Bindi ultimately took home the mirror ball trophy, thanks to her impressive skills showcased alongside Derek Hough, 31.
Chandler is quite the gentleman, he even flew in to Los Angeles from Florida to visit her between the high-intensity rehearsals! That’s not all: he also is a global ambassador of Bindi’s Wildlife Warriors team. The couple first met in 2013, and in July, the conservationist revealed she was spending time with “someone special.” Only a month later she confirmed that they were officially dating. So cute! We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for these two sweethearts.
