OMG — Seriously?! Donald Trump is coming to his own defense after being accused of being anti-Semitic over a photoshopped pic he posted on Twitter. To make his point, he got some help from an unlikely source: ‘Frozen’s’ Elsa.
Three words for you, pal: Let. It. GO! Following the backlash Donald Trump, 70, received after tweeting an image of Hillary Clinton, 68, with a shape that resembled a religious symbol, the Republican nominee took to Twitter to plead his case. For his evidence, he referenced the use of the same symbol on a Disney coloring book inspired by the animated movie, Frozen. Wait until you see this tweet…
“Where is the outrage for this Disney book,” he questioned on Twitter on July 6, sharing a photo of the popular children’s toy. The presumptive presidential nominee was specifically focusing on a sticker in the left-hand corner of the book that he implies looks like the star of David. “Is this the ‘Star of David’ also? Dishonest media! #Frozen” he continued, suggesting that Disney is the real anti-Semitic.
But Hillary didn’t let him get the last word! The Democratic presidential nominee put her two cents in on Twitter as well. “Do you want to build a straw man,” she quoted in reference to the movie. Burn!
His reasoning for posting the image was simple — if followers said he was anti-Semitic and outraged by his post about Hillary, then the same treatment should be given to Disney and Elsa too. While his post and the coloring book might have used the same sign, it’s safe to say their messages are a little different. In contrast, Trump shared a photo-shopped image of opponent, Hillary Clinton with the six-pointed star, with the message that the Democratic nominee was “crooked.” “Dishonest media is trying their absolute best to depict a star in a tweet as the Star of David rather than a Sheriff’s Star, or plain star!” he tweeted in his defense after deleting the image.

And so the feud continues as the presidential candidates make their run for the White House. Competition is good and all, but hopefully they can leave Elsa and the rest of the Frozen cast out of it from now on.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Disney intentionally used the Star of David on the Frozen coloring book, or is Trump overreacting?
