Kendall Jenner was one of the few celebs not invited to Taylor Swift‘s July 4th party. When we first noticed, we couldn’t help but wonder if her absence had anything to do with Taylor’s beef with Kendall’s brother-in-law, Kanye West. And you’ll never believe what we discovered!

“Kendall would not have gone to Taylor’s party, even if she had been invited — family always comes first and Kanye is her family. But she didn’t have to make any big decision because she was not invited. There’s still awkwardness because of Harry [Styles], so she was never on the list. Kendall doesn’t care at all that she wasn’t invited. She found a deal for her to get paid (by Airbnb) to stay in a Malibu beach house, so she was more than happy. She’d rather make money than go to a party at Taylor’s anyway,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

So Kendall wasn’t invited, and for a reason we’re not quite sure of. But if we had to guess, it likely had something to do with how awkward it would be, considering Taylor’s beef with Kanye AND their history with Harry. No drama is always the best way to go.

But even if Kendall was invited, she wouldn’t have gone, so it is what it is. They both seemed to have their own fun on the Fourth of July, and that’s what matters. Kendall didn’t even seem phased by the situation, as she was pictured in Malibu, giving the peace sign over the holiday weekend.
