Uh oh! Kaley Cuoco may be one heck of an animal lover, but some people are calling her out for hating America by letting one of her dogs sit on top of an American flag. Keep reading for why some are so upset with the actress.
Poor Kaley Cuoco! The 30-year-old left her pets with a dog sitter for the Fourth of July and apparently they weren’t aware of the basic protocol that an American flag should never be placed on the ground, and especially shouldn’t have dogs laying all over it. After sharing a pic of her pups trying to be patriotic, now she’s been bombarded with haters!
Kaley posted an Instagram pic on the Fourth of July of three of her dogs looking festive for the holiday. One had a flag wrapped around its neck while another was laying on an American flag. Kaley didn’t take the pic herself, it was taken by her dog sitter and she captioned the pic, “Thank you the_pet_handler for taking such good care of the squad while I’m out of town. 4th of July pups!!!” But by having the flag laying on the ground, it violated the U.S. flag code and boy was she reminded of that by the Twittersphere with examples like this:

Realizing she caused such a storm of controversy, Kaley deleted the photo July 5 and replaced with an American flag shaped like a heart and a very profuse apology.
“I would like to comment on a photo I posted yesterday, that has caused lots of controversy. First off, please know, I have the utmost respect for my country. I am a proud American in every sense of the word. I understand the American flag stands for our freedom and represents American heroes, past and present. Yesterday I made a mistake by posting the picture that was taken of my sweet dogs posing on an American flag,” she began.
“I sincerely apologize to anyone that has been offended by my previous post. This is no way reflects my feelings toward what the American flag represents. Living in the public eye, can be extremely difficult at times. Every mistake and every imperfection is amplified. I am not perfect. I am a proud American, today, tomorrow, always,” she concluded. Her fan base rallied to her side with messages of love and support so it seems like now all is forgiven.
HollywoodLifers, were you offended by Kaley’s pic of her dog sitting on a flag?
