New heartbreaking revelations have surfaced, nine months after the shocking suicide of Cathriona White, Jim Carrey’s ex. Police reportedly have found a suicide note, explaining the state the 28-year-old was in.
Cathriona White, 28, took her own life after she was seriously heartbroken. The actress who was most famous for her on-again off-again romance with Jim Carrey, took her own life on Sept. 28 — she was found by friends with pills next to her and an apparent suicide note, she had left for Jim.
“I’ve spent 3 days now in disbelief that you’re not here. I can go on brokenhearted and try to put the pieces back. I could, I just don’t have the will this time. I’m sorry you felt I wasn’t there for you. I tried to give you my best part,” she wrote in the note found by police, TMZ reports. When thinking about funeral plans, she wrote, “I don’t really know about burial or that sort of thing. You are my family so whatever you choose will be fine. Please forgive me. I’m just not for this world.”
She signed off on the note with “Dewdrop,” a nickname from Jim.
Court records show that police also found a text message on her phone from Jim, asking if she knew where several bottles of prescription painkillers were. Reports surfaced after her passing that she took his prescriptions to commit suicide.
Jim released the following statement following her passing: “I am shocked and saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.”
