Calling all ‘True Blood’ fans! This is the news you’ve all been waiting for — ‘True Blood’ is coming to broadway! HBO is producing a Broadway musical based on the hit show and we’re freaking out about it!
True Blood is about to be revived for a Broadway debut and we can’t contain our excitement. HBO is in the early stages of a musical revival, meaning we’re going to be able to witness the supernatural, seductive scenes we love about our favorite show, LIVE! Get all the exciting details here.
Everyone’s True Blood dreams are finally answered — a Broadway musical adaption is in the works based on the vampire show! HBO is in early talks to revive the show to hit Broadway according to the New York Post. “Director Pam MacKinnon is writing the book and lyrics,” and creator behind the hit show, Alan Ball, “is keeping an eye on the stage version.” HOW EXCITING!
Although the adaption is in the early stages of it’s creation, “the musical needs cutting: Act 1 was almost 132 pages,” a source told the Post. Just like the show, the musical “is set in the fictional town of Bon Temps, La., where vampires live among humans. The town also boasts witches, fairies, shape-shifters and werewolves. If a full production ever materializes, there will be plenty of special effects.”
The super sexy show gives us everything we want and more out of a dark fantasy drama, and the fact that we could be watching it’s steamy plots right in front of us is giving us all the feels right now! Remember that intense sex scene in Season 7 with Alexander Skarsgard, 39, and Ryan Kwanten, 39?
The co-stars had crazy chemistry when they locked lips on-screen and Alexander seemed to think so too! He once revealed just exactly what he thought about Ryan’s kissing skills, and Alexander was anything but subtle when dishing out all the candid details on their epic scene.
As we continue to try and contain our excitement about this Broadway news, we’ll be anxiously waiting for more details on the musical adaption — and you know we’re going to keep you updated!
