Meghan Trainor’s performance on the Macy’s Fourth of July special might just be the highlight of the holiday! The ‘Me Too’ singer absolutely slayed ‘Me Too’ and made the nation’s 240th birthday’s extra special. Get all of the details right here!
Meghan Trainor, 22, celebrated red, white and blue today, July 4, with an amazing performance of “Me Too” during the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. Read on to see what went down during her incredible tribute to America!
Megan stunned in a green, military style dress that was a clear salute to our wonderful troops as she sang in front of the east river. And she didn’t have a note out of place as she strutted her stuff on stage with a group of backup dancers. In fact, we’ve never seen Meghan so lively on stage — she was amazing!
Later on in the show, Meghan also performed her breakout hit “All About That Base” which had everyone singing along. I mean, how can you not. It’s catchy as hell!
Meghan was at her best tonight, though we have to admit we were holding our breath a little bit to make sure the singer didn’t take another spill onstage. We haven’t forgotten the scary time she fell when performing “Me Too” in high heels on the Tonight Show, totally face planting during her dynamic routine. No one said performing in six-inch heels was easy!
If you haven’t listened to Meghan’s latest album, Me Too, don’t wait another moment. You might be sick of “No” by now, but “Better”, “Woman Up” and “Watch Me Do” all deserve your attention. The album is chock-full of poppy, inspiring anthems, but Megs also shows off her softer side with “Kindly Calm Me Down” and “Hopeless Romantic”. Most of the album is completely danceable, and makes “All About That Bass” all but forgotten!
