Simply perfection! Simone Biles showed off to the world why she’s the best gymnast in the U.S. with a stunning floor routine that has been viewed over 12 million times on Facebook alone. Keep reading to see why so many people consider her routine beyond brilliant.
Talk about a must-see video! Simone Biles, 19, proved with her fourth consecutive U.S. gymnastics all-around title win June 26 that she’s definitely going to be THE one to watch when the Rio Olympics kick off in Aug. The video of her thrilling and high-flying floor routine performance has gone completely viral, and for good reason — it is beyond awe-inspiring! Take a look!
She may be only 4’9″ but Simone is all power and muscle and nowhere was that more apparent than in her flawless floor exercise routine. Before she even makes her first moves, the announcers praised how she had “awesome stuff” planned for her routine, noting that she has a move named after herself, and that she does passes late in her routine that many guys can’t do on their opening tumbling runs. Yeah, they’re totally building her up but then once the music comes on boy does she deliver!
Simone has so much speed and height in her tumbling runs that it’s like she has wings! Her second pass featured a move called “The Biles” during her series of flips and twists and she makes the landing so memorable with a springy jump of the splits. She mixes in some light salsa dancing moves between her epic passes, showing off a light and fun side and proving she’s definitely ready for the Rio Olympics, where she will be leading the U.S. ladies gymnastics team.
“Well, it doesn’t really get much better than that.” former champ and now commentator Nastia Liukin said when Simone ended her triumphant routine while another announcer calls her “untouchable.” Not only was it a flawless performance, it’s gone wildly viral after appearing on NBC’s Olympics coverage Facebook page, with over 12 million views and 120,000 shares, making it gold medal worthy at helping generate interest in the upcoming games.
