OMG! Kanye West’s ‘Famous’ video almost took it a little farther by adding Democratic presidential hopefuls, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders into the mix. HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE on why he decided against it.
While Kanye West’s, 39, “Famous” music video definitely covered the bases, featuring celebs in the music, television, and political industries, it failed to have a strong representation of Democrats. But that’s because they were cut from the video. In fact, HollywoodLife.com hears EXCLUSIVELY that Kanye wanted to include Democratic candidates, Hillary Clinton, 68, and Bernie Sanders, 74, but decided not to at the last minute. Here’s why!
“Kanye almost had Bernie and Hillary in ‘Famous’ because he wanted all the potential Presidential nominees in the video,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “His thoughts on it were that whomever wins would be running for re-election in 2020 and we all know Kanye’s thoughts for himself in 2020.”
Kanye wanted to used the video as a way to announce who he was supporting in the upcoming election, but he pulled back only after he realized who was going to be the nominee, not to mention Kim Kardashian, 35, had the final word. “He wanted to make his first political statement in the video,” the source continued. “He then decided against it when he realized Bernie wasn’t getting the nomination and Kim didn’t want him to add Hillary into the video.” Way to lay down the law Kim.
While many fans and supporters of the Democratic party are probably very happy that the two did not make it into the video, it may have been a great contrast to the image, as two Republican politicians, former president George W. Bush, 69, and the current nominee, Donald Trump, 70, were already included in the visuals. But being that the short film was based on stars with blaring controversies or scandals, it probably didn’t seem as appropriate to include them.
If Hillary and Bernie would have made it into the shoot, they would have been among other nonpolitical notable figures, including Caitlyn Jenner,66, Bill Cosby, 78, and Hillary supporter, Taylor Swift, 26.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Kanye’s “Famous” video? Do you think he should have included Hillary and Bernie in the video?
