Ridin’ solo! Will Niall Horan be the next member of One Direction to call it quits? After Harry Styles signed a recording deal on June 23, we’ve got the EXCLUSIVE details on what Niall plans to do with his music career!
Niall Horan, 22, is one of four members left in One Direction, but will he be making a departure next? It’s only been one day since Harry Styles, 22, officially signed a solo recording deal with Columbia Records. Now, HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE details on how Niall feels about Harry’s career without One Direction and his thoughts about launching his own solo career!
“Niall’s very happy for Harry and his recording deal, but he’s not thinking about a solo career himself at the moment,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He’s concentrating on his golf business right now, because that’s something that’s always been a dream of his and he wants that to be a big success. But that said, Niall does have his own material that he’s written and he’s been attached to his guitar during the One Direction hiatus crafting songs. He has no plans on releasing them himself, but would be prepared to license them to other artists.” Phew we don’t know if we could take another member of 1D straying.
In March 2015, the Simon Cowell-approved group announced their hiatus which was a dooming sentence to many 1D fans across the globe, given boy band’s breakup history and how it seems to continue to repeat itself.
Zayn Malik, 23, was the first one to cut out — but certainly not with negative results. He launched his own mega-successful solo career and continued to sell out arenas. He slayed with “Pillowtalk” which has garnered 533 million views on YouTube, and is still counting. Zayn has also since found love in supermodel Gigi Hadid, 21, who is also featured in the video for his hit single.
So now that Harry has made plans for solo projects, does this mean the end of the English-Irish band? We’ll have to see. Many suspected that Harry was considering going solo in 2015, when he first began copyrighting songs with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, under his own name. But we are not going to panic and are choosing to believe they will stay together!
HollywoodLifers, would you listen to Niall if decided to launch his own solo career?! Let us know!
