On Thursday, June 23, a gunman reportedly opened fire inside a cinema complex in western Germany. At this time, at least 25 victims have been reported injured from the attack.
Less than two weeks after the deadliest shooting in American history, an unidentified man opened fire inside a movie theater in Germany, reports The Mirror. The gunman allegedly started shooting inside the Kinopolis in Viernheim near Frankfurt, Germany at approximately 3pm local time. It was originally reported that the gunman had taken hostages, but it was later revealed that the shooter had been killed. It’s unclear how the shooter died, whether by taking his own life or in a shoot-out with German police. Special forces were dispatched to the complex almost immediately after reports came in that a shooting had a occurred.

The German Weapons Law was passed in 1972, and regulates knives, firearms and ammunition.
