Liam Hemsworth is admittedly an impulsive guy…but not when it comes to his love life. He proposed to Miley Cyrus when they were both super young, but defends the decision to this day, even if it (briefly) didn’t work out. Read his new interview here!
When Liam Hemsworth, 26, proposed to Miley Cyrus, 23, in 2012, did he to it without careful thought and consideration? Many have suggested that the engagement was nothing but an impulsive decision, but the actor could not disagree more. See what he said in defense of his proposal here!
“I don’t think that was impulsive,” Liam told News Corp. “That was a well-thought out idea.”
Unfortunately, no matter how hard he thought about it, the relationship ended just over a year later, and the couple went their separate ways…until the end of 2015. They somehow managed a super low-key reconciliation, and were first spotted together celebrating the New Year in Australia.
Since then, the duo has been incredible private about their romance, keeping mum no matter how many photos surfaced of them together.
Still, they’ve each confirmed it in their own ways at this point. “People will figure it out, they already have,” Liam told GQ Australia. “They’re not dumb.” Meanwhile, Miley made the relationship Instagram official on June 19 by taking a pic while wearing a shirt that said “Hemsworth” on the back. Too cute!
Even though Liam said in April that he’s “not engaged,” Miley’s been wearing her ring again for months now, and, as we previously reported, the lovebirds have already started talking about a wedding in Australia.
For right now, though, the 26-year-old is busy promoting his new movie Independence Day, and since he didn’t bring Miley as his date to the premiere, it’s clear they’re still keeping things as under the radar as possible. We can’t wait for the next sighting!
