Aww. Warriors fans, you will so appreciate this touching message from Steph Curry, following the team’s defeat in the NBA Finals on June 19. Check it out here!
On June 19, Stephen Curry, 28, and the Golden State Warriors lost the NBA Championship to the Cleveland Cavaliers, causing a wave of depression to sweep over all Warriors fans, not to mention the players. And even though he is devastated, Steph has put on a brave face and taken the time to thank Warriors fans in a new touching video. Check out what Steph said here!
“Dub Nation, Steph Curry,” the Golden State Warriors star begins in his video message to fans. “Uh just wanna say thanks for all the support. Know we didn’t get it done, but we’ll be back. And we appreciate everything all year long.” Isn’t that SO sweet?? We can’t believe that after suffering the defeat what’s most important to him is making sure to thank the fans.
OF COURSE, Steph has also talked about how emotional the loss is. “It hurts, man. That’s all I’m really kind of marinating on right now,” he admitted to reporters following the EPIC loss. “I’m proud of every single guy that stepped foot on the floor for our team this year. It wasn’t easy what we accomplished, and it’s not an easy pill to swallow what we didn’t accomplish. You gotta just take the good with the bad and understand that we hopefully will have many more opportunities to fight for championships and be on this stage because it’s what it’s all about.”
But Steph isn’t the only Curry who has supported the players and fans following the Warriors’ Finals loss, with wife Ayesha Curry, 27, sending out a sweet message at the end of Game 7. “Proud of our men! #DUBNATION #WARRIORS,” Ayesha tweeted after the game. “That was an an insane season. Can’t deny it. Proud proud proud. Heart. Fight and passion. Everything according to his plan. always Glory to God!!!!!!!!!”

Sadly, the Currys are now being mercilessly attacked on social media, with memes about both of them spreading like wildfire. But a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that the two are hanging in there together. “Steph and Ayesha have been inseparable since the loss and they are really leaning on each other for mental and emotional support. They’ve both been clobbered in the press and on social media and don’t really know how to deal with being on the losing end and the butt of all the jokes,” a source told us EXCLUSIVELY. “This is new for them. Steph’s head is hanging so low it’s literally buried in Ayesha’s chest. He’s in a lot of disbelief, and so is she, but together, they’re being each other’s rocks. Albeit the rock isn’t as solid after being cracked by the Cavs, in time, it will be healed.” At least Steph has been able to rise above enough to find time to be there for his wife, his teammates and his fans. GOOD FOR YOU STEPH!
