So devastating! Officials have announced the official cause of death in the tragic case of Lane Graves, the Nebraska toddler who was killed after his family was attacked by an alligator at a Disney resort. Click through to learn the sad news of the little one’s fate.
This is just so heartbreaking. Little Lane Graves, 2, was swept away by a vicious alligator right outside of Disney World on June 14, and now his family has learned the terrible news about what officially caused the toddler’s death. We have all of the devastating details, right here.
What a horrible thing for a family to have to hear. Lane was dragged away from his family on June 14 while they were wading in a lagoon on the property of Disney World in Florida. The poor baby was missing for 17 hours, and his body was finally recovered around 3:30 on June 15.
On June 16, the official cause of Lane’s death has finally been revealed, and it’s truly heart-wrenching. The Orange County Medical Examiner announced that it was a combination of drowning and traumatic injuries that ended the life of the 2-year-old.
Perhaps to bring the family a sense of closure, Disney is still on the hunt for the alligator that killed the boy. It will be next to impossible to determine considering all gators have the ability to kill such a small child, but they have already euthanized five animals in the attempt at justice. We feel so sad for the family of this sweet little boy, and while we’re sure they couldn’t possibly move on from something like this, we hope the announcement at least gives them a small sense of closure.
HollywoodLifers, are you shocked that the resort didn’t put up more warning signs about dangerous alligators?
