More terrifying details about Orlando shooter Omar Mateen’s life have been revealed, as his elementary school classmates are speaking out about how he once threatened to kill each and every one of them. So scary.
Omar Mateen, 29, may have had some very dangerous personality traits when he was just a small child. It turns out that as a young boy, the Orlando shooter was known as a “bully” among his elementary and middle school classmates. For the first time, people who shared a classroom with the man who brutally killed 49 people inside a gay nightclub on Sunday, June 12, are opening up about his terrifying and violent history.
Omar Mateen was a violent young boy, according to a report by TMZ. A woman named Leslie Hall who allegedly grew up with Omar and shared classes with him has revealed that he once threatened to bring a gun to school and kill everyone. Leslie shared that none of the kids took it as a joke, either, and they immediately told a teacher which resulted in Omar being suspended for two weeks.
Although Leslie doesn’t remember why Omar threatened to kill them all, she does recall that her own mother had to have multiple visits with school administrators about his scary behavior. Unfortunately, none of the meetings seemed to work because Leslie claims that Omar’s bad behavior kept going strong once they were in middle school.
Leslie and other classmates are claiming that Omar was known for his violent tendencies, as they remember him throwing chairs and even spitting at their teachers. In even more disturbing recollections of his adolescence, classmates recall Omar “bragging” that Osama Bin Laden was his uncle when 9/11 happened.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, video of Omar’s home revealed that he was a huge fanboy of things like Star Wars and superhero movies. His entire bathroom was decorated in Star Wars things, while his bedroom was covered in different items like a Captain America shield and even a stuff Olaf from Frozen. It’s pretty bizarre to see inside his home, which doesn’t appear to show any signs that he was planning the horrific mass murder that occurred when he stormed into Pulse nightclub in Orlando.
Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the victims from the Orlando shooting.
