Omar Mateen did something unimaginable on June 11 when he killed 50 people and injured 53 more in an Orlando gay club, but a new video reveals that his suburban home was shockingly mundane. It even featured common beloved themes like the ‘Ninja Turtles’ and ‘Star Wars.’ Check it out.
This is absolutely chilling. Just looking at the home of Omar Mateen, 29, the man who killed 50 innocent people on June 11, you would never know he was a violent criminal. The suburban apartment looks like that of a loving father, filled with family photos, tons of toys, and Star Wars and Ninja Turtle decor. See for yourself, right here.
When you think of someone who managed to kill 50 people and injure 53 more, you definitely don’t picture their home covered in sentimental photos and Star Wars and Ninja Turtle decor, but that’s exactly what Pulse nightclub shooter Omar’s home looks like in a video obtained by DailyMail.
The 29-year-old cold-blooded killer shared an apartment at the Woodland Condominium in Fort Pierce with his alleged wife and three-year-old son, and had apparently lived there since 2011 when he and his first wife divorced. Looking at the home, you would think Omar was a doting father. His son’s room is absolutely stuffed with toys, the refrigerator is covered in photos, a wall has a Hello Kitty clock, and the bathroom has a Star Wars theme.
However, more haunting items are juxtaposed among the silly, lighthearted ones. A Minnie Mouse calendar hangs on the wall with June 7 circled and “D-Day, 10:30” penciled in. A ceremonial sword sits front and center on the TV stand, and books like the Qaran, Muhammed: Who Is He, and An Explanation of the Last Tenth with Crucial Matters in the Life of a Muslim sit by the bed. The video is definitely a shocking look into Omar’s personal life.
