Lil Wayne may be experiencing life-threatening seizures, but it’s not enough incentive for the rapper to quit drinking his beloved sizzurp. Nothing’s going to make him stop, according to a source who spoke to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Hours before his massive seizure mid-flight on June 13, Lil Wayne, 33, allegedly downed an alarming amount of sizzurp, the narcotic he’s famous for drinking. But despite his history with epilepsy, and his latest life-threatening episode, Wayne is going to keep imbibing, according to a source who spoke to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Click through to find out why he won’t quit!
“Tunechi can’t and won’t get off lean. Not to be funny, but it’s in his blood and who he his. That’s how he and his entire crew rolls,” the source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Everywhere they go, rest assured they’re all red cupping the sizz. No one around him is trying to make him stop because he’s Wayne, and when he’s lit it’s one big party; there’s no such thing as turning down! Wayne’s crew are enablers and hanger-ons and ain’t no way in the world they’re trying to stop Wayne or the gravy train he’s conducting.”
For those not in the know, sizzurp is a combination of prescription-grade cough syrup and soda. Also known as purple drank, lean, or syrup, the concoction is highly addictive due to the codeine in the cough syrup, and has dangerous side effects: slowed heartbeat, shallow breathing, blurred vision, agitation and hallucinations. It’s possible that abuse of the drug — or of any drug — could cause serious seizures.
Wayne was allegedly drinking a massive amount of sizzurp during his appearance in Milwaukee, hours before having multiple seizure serious enough to necessitate an emergency landing of his private jet, according to eyewitnesses who spoke to TMZ. Wayne was allegedly carrying around five 16 oz bottles of Promethazine/Codeine syrup, and drank three of them by himself. Though Wayne has said in the past that he stopped drinking it because of his epilepsy, it may not be true!
