It’s just such a sad loss for everybody. Christina Grimmie’s heroic brother, who tried in vain to help his sister when a gunmen fired shots at her during a meet-and-greet at a Orlando, Florida concert on June 10, has spoken about the tragic loss. Read what he Marcus Grimmie has to say here.
We still can’t get our heads around this. Christina Grimmie was tragically gunned down aged just 22 during a meet-and-greet on June 10, after an Orlando, Florida concert. Her brother, Mark Grimmie, 23, bravely tackled the shooter as he was opening fire on his sister. But sadly, he couldn’t save her in time. Now, he has come out on his Facebook and poured his heart out about Christina.
The shooter was identified as Kevin Loibl, and he approached Christina with two handguns and a knife, in which cops believe was a planned attack. But as of yet, no link as to why Christina was murdered so senselessly has been provided by the Orlando PD as they continue their investigation.
But since that tragic incident, Mark has revealed how heartbroken he is on Facebook. “Christina was more than my sister,” her brother, who goes by Mark, wrote. “She was a partner in life. A superstar. A goofball. Introverted. And a friend to everyone. Genuinely. But above all…she was my baby sister. She loved the Lord and her family and was always there for me and I honestly don’t know what I’ll do without her.”
That is just so heartbreaking, and Mark must’ve felt absolutely helpless when he was with his sister at the meet-and-greet at the Plaza Live theater. It’s just such an emotional statement from him, so tragic.
The outpouring of love from various celebrities has been telling to how popular Christina was. Selena Gomez dedicated a song to her friend and former touring partner at a show in Miami, Florida on June 11. She broke down as she performed, and was understandably choked throughout the live performance.
