Just hours after Christina Grimmie was fatally shot outside her Orlando concert, her Twitter account sent out a mysterious and chilling message. But who really sent the shocking tweet?
“The end.” @TheRealGrimmie tweeted several hours after Christina Grimmie‘s tragic killing in the early hours of June 11. What a disturbing thing for her followers and fans to read! Fans were questioning if this was supposed to be a simple goodbye message on behalf of Christina through her team, or if someone was playing a mean prank. Find out what happened after the jump.
Christina’s reps confirmed to People magazine that her Twitter account had been hacked after her murder, and that nobody connected to her had sent the strange tweet. What kind of horrible person would do such a thing? The tweet has since been deleted.
The last thing that Christina actually tweeted was an excited video message to her fans, asking them to come see her show at Plaza Live! in Orlando. It’s unthinkable that this would wind up being her last concert, that just hours after sending that tweet, she would be mercilessly killed by a stranger with no known motive; she was fatally shot after her show while signing autographs, by a man who then turned the gun on himself.
Her last performance was absolutely incredible. Christina opened for Before You Exit, and showed off those incredible pipes to warm the crowd up. Christina will forever be known for her phenomenal audition on The Voice season six, when she got a four chair turnaround for her insane performance of “Wrecking Ball”.
Seriously, it might have been better than the real thing! And her career was just blossoming when this murderer stole her life. In the video above, that small glimpse of her final concert shows what a tremendous talent this young woman really was.
