This is just so sad. Moments before she was fatally shot by a gunmen while signing autographs for fans, Christina Grimmie was doing what she loved to do the most — perform. See her final performance at the Plaza Live Theater in Orlando, Florida. She was just so talented, and life can be cruel.
What an absolute waste of life. Christina Grimmie, 22, was building a pop career for herself before she was fatally shot by a gunmen in Orlando, Florida during a meet and greet with fans. Only minutes before that, Christina was singing her heart out and showing us what a talent she was. Her final performance showed exactly what the world will miss, and what a tragic loss this really is.
Christina Grimmie’s last performance was at the Plaza Live Theater. She was signing autographs with the band, Before You Exit, at a merchandise stand, when a gunmen opened fire at her. The Voice contestant’s brother Mark tried in vain to save his sister by diving onto the gunmen, who turned the gun on himself, but it was too little too late.
Incredibly, the shooting happened in front of around 60 fans, including young children and teenagers who must be absolutely traumatized by what they saw. Christina, who was reportedly struck in the head by one 5 shots that were said to be fired, was immediately taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in a critical condition. The gunmen was later said to have been carrying two handguns and a knife, in what was a planned attack.
However, she sadly didn’t make it and her publicist confirmed she had passed at 2:45am. “It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord. She was shot at her show in Orlando and, unfortunately, didn’t survive the gun shot wounds,” the spokesperson said.
But rather wallow in misery, let’s remember her as a wonderful singer, who brought joy to her fans faces whenever she performed. The clip here shows exactly what she was all about, and just hammers home again what a tragedy this is.
