Country music legend Loretta Lynn is grieving the unexpected death of her grandson Jeffrey Allen Lynn. After suffering this tragic loss, Loretta announced to her fans that she will be postponing her upcoming concerts to be with her loved ones.
Loretta Lynn, 84, is mourning the death of her grandson Jeffrey Allen Lynn, whose life was cut short on June 6. He was 47. The country music star shared her devastating loss with her fans on her official Facebook account on June 8. Due to her tragic loss, Loretta said that she would be postponing her upcoming concerts to be with her loved ones. See what else Loretta shared with her fans in her time of grief.
“Jeffrey was 47 and lived and worked on Loretta Lynn’s ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee,” stated the Facebook post, which featured a heartbreaking image of a young Jeffrey. The post also included the news that the performer had decided to postpone two of her upcoming shows, a completely understandable decision. “Loretta Lynn was scheduled to perform this Friday, June 10 in Miami, Oklahoma and Saturday, June 11 in Hinton, Oklahoma, however those shows will be postponed to July 8 and November 12 so Loretta can be with her family.”
Though times are tough for Loretta now, earlier this year she appeared on Watch What Happens Live in her country queen finest and sang a duet with host (and fan!), Andy Cohen, 48. Hopefully spending this time with her family will give the performer the support she needs to build happy memories again after such a painful loss.
Loretta is currently featured in a booth at the four-day CMA Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee, where her team went live on Thursday. The festival will feature other country music stars, including Carrie Underwood, 33, Miranda Lambert, 32, Blake Shelton, 39, and Billy Ray Cyrus, 54.
