This is so scary. Football star Deion Sanders’ son has been accused of attacking one of his teachers at school, according to a new report. As comp for his injuries, the teacher wants $26,000 from Deion and his ex-wife — get all of the details right here!
Deion Sanders, 48, has found himself in the middle of a lawsuit thanks to his son’s actions. A high school teacher in Dallas, TX, is claiming that the teenager attacked him in a brutal fight at the school, hurting him so badly that the teacher needed spinal surgery. Read on for the full story!
The alleged victim, John Darjean, claims that Sanders’ son broke school rules in Sept. 2015, using his phone during school hours on campus, according to TMZ. The teacher says that he attempted to confiscate the phone from the student, but the teenager allegedly turned violent, “giving Darjean serious enough injuries that he was transported to a local hospital and later needed spinal surgery”. Ouch!
Now, the insurance company that compensated the teacher for medical care is suing Deion and his ex-wife Pilar, 41, according to the report. The company is maintaining that the Sanders “knew their son had a history of reckless conduct and never did anything to curb his behavior”, and is claiming that Deion and Pilar “should reimburse them for the $26k payout”. That’s a pretty big chunk of change.
John Darjean also has a sports connection — he’s a former minor league baseball player who currently coaches, and he appeared in the Kevin Costner movie For Love of the Game. He is also the author of Much Lies Beneath, a fictional book about a boy from Louisiana who signs a pro baseball contract and makes his way to stardom.
