And the biggest honor of the CMT Awards goes to…Tim McGraw! The country powerhouse’s video for his hit ‘Humble And Kind’ took home the hardware for Video Of The Year at the 2016 ceremony. Congrats, Tim!
How do you make an award-winning video? Just ask Tim McGraw and you’ll get your answer, because the 49-year-old won the Video Of The Year award at the CMT Music Awards! As the last award of the night (and the most important), the anticipation was high as Vince Vaughn announced the big winner — and we couldn’t be more excited for Tim!
“We all love what we do we get to this and a lot of people are involved in making something artistic happen. When we make a footprint, there’s a lot of people involved in making that footprint,” Tim said in his heartfelt acceptance speech. “We do it because we hope to move you, we hope to make a little impact in your life and have you care about what we do. So thank you all for caring about what we do, because we care a whole lot about y’all.”
Tim wasn’t even one of this year’s CMT Music Awards performers, and he still managed to take home the biggest award of the night. What a compliment to his video! Maybe it’s because he’s stayed “Humble And Kind,” huh?
Considering the competition “Humble And Kind” faced in this category, it’s a pretty huge honor for Tim to be taking home such a prestigious CMT Award. This year’s Video Of The Year nominees included Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Sam Hunt, Little Big Town, Cam, with Tim, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton making it to the finals. Basically, Tim topped some of country’s biggest names for this award. Way to go, Tim!
