Hot dang, those boys can sing! Florida Georgia Line lit up the house at the 2016 CMT Music Awards with a sizzling performance of their hit ‘H.O.L.Y.’ These guys never disappoint and this performance was no exception.
It’s not a country award show without the fellas of Florida Georgia Line. Tyler Hubbard, 29, and Brian Kelley, 30, turned up the heat at the 2016 CMT’s with their smash hit “H.O.L.Y.” The video for the song earned the guys a nomination for Group Video of the Year, and we understand why. The song is awesome!
Florida Georgia Line proved why they are at the top of their country game on the CMT Music Awards show stage. Everybody loves a country boy, but two? That’s twice as nice! The duo that make up FGL have voices that compliment each other perfectly, and their track “H.O.L.Y.” showcases how great these guys sound together. They sang their slow jam of a love song to their wives while pictures of their weddings flashed on stage behind.
Tyler and Brian have been all over the place since they formed FGL in 2010. Weeks prior to the show, these guys warmed up for the CMT’s by singing a stripped-down version of their slow jam “H.O.L.Y.” on The Voice. Before their performance on the NBC show, the guys gave fans a real treat when they sang “Confession” at the ACM Awards.
FGL have so many award-winning hits, they have become regulars on the country award show circuit. They have been bringing home trophies from the CMAs to the Billboard Music Awards to the Teen Choice Awards for years. Maybe that’s why they continue to sell out shows all over the country!
HollywoodLifers, how did you like their performance at the CMT Awards? Where does the FGL performance rank among the best of the night?
