What an incredible duet! Dierks Bentley and Elle King took the CMT Music Awards stage together to sing their song, ‘Different For Girls,’ and they sounded absolutely amazing!
Amongst all of the amazing performances that are happening at the 2016 CMT Music Awards, there’s some tough competition to earn the title of best performance of the night. But Dierks Bentley, 40, and Elle King, 26, certainly put their best effort forth with their duet “Different For Girls,” and they may just take the cake!
As Dierks and Elle stood side by side, they harmonized perfectly together while belting out their tune. And they both looked great doing it! Dierks went a more casual — but totally hot — route, rocking a leather jacket and dark jeans while Elle looked super glam in a sparkly black jumpsuit.
Aside from her glitzy getup, Elle brought some mega girl power to the performance thanks to her kickass banjo skills. In fact, her banjo playing ability is the reason that Dierks wanted her on his track!
“When I moved to Nashville, I tried so many times to learn to play the banjo,” Dierks told CMT prior to the big night. “My whole band was so obsessed with it that we have laminates from a whole year of touring that say ‘The Year of the Banjo.’ All of us spent time trying to learn the banjo, but I eventually gave up. So having Elle play, this was meant to be.”
And meant to be it is, because Dierks and Elle work perfectly together in song! Plus, with a banjo included, their performance was definitely a unique standout of the night. It’ll be tough to top this one!
