Amber Heard’s friend iO Tillett Wright has given a shocking account of the alleged physical abuse the actress suffered at the hands of Johnny Depp in a frank essay written June 8. The compelling piece even says that iO saw Amber’s injuries after an alleged attack! Read what iO saw here!
This sounds absolutely awful! iO Tillett Wright, 30, has lifted the lid on the alleged physical abuse Amber Heard, 30, told the writer she suffered at the hands of Johnny Depp, 52, in a brutally descriptive essay. iO claims that she saw The Danish Girl beauty sporting a “busted lip” after one encounter with the Black Mass hellraiser, and Amber told her so much more!
Writing for website Refinery29, iO admitted in the article that Johnny was quick to apologize for his supposed attacks with heartfelt apologies and that dissuaded her from calling the cops. “I called 911 because she never would. Because every time it happened, her first thought was about protecting him,” iO wrote. “Because every time it happened, the sweet, loving man we all cared for so much would come back with apologies, profuse, swearing up and down that he understood how bad what he had done was, and swearing never to do it again.”
iO recalled the moment Amber first confided in her that she was being physically abused following an incident on a plane where she claimed she was kicked by the Edward Scissorhands actor. iO claims the abuse continued and escalated to a particularly violent encounter in December.
iO also remembered ANOTHER alleged fight, which Amber described as an “all-out assault” to her pal, saying she woke up with a “pillow covered in blood.”
iO said she had witnessed Amber’s injuries before, noting on one visit, “I saw the busted lip and the clumps of hair on the floor. I got the phone call immediately after it happened, her screaming and crying, a stoic woman reduced to sobs.
But while iO is siding with Amber, she admitted she found it difficult to speak out against Johnny. “He had been my friend, too, a person I loved very much. A person I had once referred to as a brother,” she wrote.
“As she, shaking and crying, described this 195-pound man throwing the full weight of his body into head-butting his 120-pound wife in the face in a fit of rage, I found that an unforgivable line in my heart had been crossed,” iO continued.
“I sat and listened, my own heart aching because I had so much care for the tender, generous man inside of all this rage, and yet…the bottom, unequivocal line is, nothing she ever could have said or done deserves what she describes as him dragging her up the stairs by the hair, punching her in the back of the head, choking her until she almost passed out, and smashing his forehead into her nose until it almost broke,” iO concluded.
