Savannah Guthrie is about to become a mother — again! The ‘Today’ Co-Host announced on June 7 that she and her hubby, Michael Feldman are expecting baby number 2! And we could not be more thrilled for the happy couple. Congrats, you two!
Savannah Guthrie, 44, made a HUGE announcement on June 7! The Today Show personality declared, during the morning’s broadcast of the daily news program no less, that she’s got a bun in the oven! How exciting! This will be her and her husband, Michael Feldman‘s, 47, second child together — making daughter Vale Guthrie Feldman,1, a big sister! Aw!
“Mike and I are so excited. We’re expecting a baby in December!” she declared during the broadcast after pulling a planned question, “Are you pregnant?” from the desk’s bowl of questions. Talk about an amazing Christmas gift! Savannah went on to add that she believes having a second child is “a gift” for the first child — SO sweet!
After all, this newest addition will join the couple’s daughter, Vale, only 21 months after Vale’s birth. But it seems like Vale is already trying to get adjusted to her big sister role. Savannah shared an adorable photo of her little one wearing a bright yellow T-shirt, that read “I was here first” on the front and “Proud big sister” on the back. Hilarious, right?
The host also made sure to emphasize how grateful she is for being able to become a parent at an older age than most first-time moms. She even wrote a candid blog about the renewed excitement, saying, “The thought of getting to add to our family now is beyond every hope, dream and prayer I have ever had. It is not simply double the joy — it is joy multiplied infinitely.”

Savannah’s first pregnancy came as a bit of a surprise right as she and Michael prepared to walk down the aisle. The couple first announced they were expecting to guests at their March 2014 wedding in Savannah’s hometown of Tucson, Arizona.
When pregnant with Vale, Savannah made sure to keep her fans in the loop and shared many details from her pregnancy through special maternity blog posts. We can only hope she does the same with baby number two! We cannot wait to follow her on this journey.
But due to her pregnancy, Savannah has revealed that she is opting out of participating in NBC’s coverage of the 2016 Summer Olympics as fears grow over the mosquito-borne Zika virus. Good decision, Savannah! After all, Zika causes severe brain developmental issues in newborn babies.
