Them again! These two tennis greats must be absolutely sick of the sight of each other! Novak Djokovic, 29, and Andy Murray, 29, go toe-to-toe at the French Open at Roland Garros on June 5, in what should be another classic final. These two rarely produce bad tennis, so you’d be absolutely foolish to miss it. Want to watch every serve and return? Click down for the live stream to see the big match!
Andy hasn’t had it easy on his route to the final, needing to knock out the likes of Stan Wawrinka, Richard Gasquet and John Isner. It’s not been easy for the Scottish-born star, but he worked incredibly hard to battle off those three who all rank in the top 15 in the world.
Novak has been in sensational form, hardly looking troubled in his semifinal win against Dominic Thiem and his quarterfinal rout of Thomas Berdych. In both those games he won in straight sets, and Novak has only dropped two sets on route to the final and that was in the same match against Roberto Bautista Agut.
These two have met each other an unbelievable 33 times over the years, with Novak winning 70 percent of those games (23 wins). Andy has 10 to his name, and their only prior meeting at the French Open was in 2015 semifinal, which Novak won in an amazing match 3 sets to 2.
This is just too tough for us say which way this’ll go! Perhaps, and this is going with the fact that stamina is such an important part of the game, Novak will edge it because he’s not played as many minutes as Andy.
HollywoodLifers, who do you think will win this Grand Slam? Novak? Or Andy? It’s a hard call, I know, but tell us who you think will crown themselves in glory below!
