OMG! Will all our childhoods come crashing down at once! Legendary actor Dan Aykroyd, 63, was rushed to the ER at Santa Monica Hospital after complaining of suffering with severe stomach pains, according to a new report. Thankfully, the Ghostbusters star has been checked out, but what is in the air this week!
LA City Fire responded to a call from his home at 10am on the morning of June 4, and he was immediately transported to Santa Monica Hospital, according to TMZ. So frightening!
But, the good news is, ‘Elwood Blues’ is going to be ok. Sources tell the website that Dan was suffering with a minor stomach ailment, and had to go straight to hospital. However, he was soon released and ordered to rest and recuperate at home. Doctors ran all the tests needed, but as of yet the cause of the stomach pain hasn’t been confirmed.
Dan has been busy of late, being involved in two remakes of his own classic movies, Ghostbusters and Blues Brothers. We hope his illness doesn’t sideline those projects at all. We’re dying to see them!
We are glad to hear that Dan is doing much better, but that had us really worried for him. We grew up on his movies, and the SNL comic is an all-time icon!
We wish Dan a speedy recovery, and hope he does do what the doctor ordered, and get much-needed rest for his mystery health issue. God speed, Dan!
