It’s finally here!’ ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows’ hits theaters today and we got the chance to speak to both Megan Fox and Stephen Amell about what to expect.
Stephen Amell and Megan Fox are ready to tear up the big screen this weekend at the sequel of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and while the reviews aren’t yet great, we spoke exclusively to both the stars of the film on what exactly the secrets are to making number two work.
“I mean I hope what works is that the filmmakers had a chance to watch the first one and get feed back from the fans and listen to a certain extent and make a better movie — which I think is what happened this time,” Megan told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. As for what to expect this time around, get ready for laughs.
“I think just in general it is way more light hearted and funny! It is more fun and not dark like Gotham City, it has a good tone,” she said. “I feel like I have a lot of screen time with the Turtles!”
Speaking of Casey Jones, Stephen Amell told us that while the pressure was there for such an iconic character, he went by the motto, “Do my own thing,” and make the sequel the best he could.
“I feel like there was more of a focus to mirror what people expect when they go to a Turtles movie,” he explained. “There should be laughs, there should be action, there should be spectacle. But not take things too seriously because it is about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! So I think we tried to give it more levity!”
