Now this is going to be awesome. The original ‘Ghostbusters’ cast and the ladies of the reboot will getting together for one epic meet-up on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on June 8. Get the details here!
This is the only natural thing to do when celebrating Ghostbusters Day. The original Ghostbusters cast and the new cast will be uniting on Jimmy Kimmel Live to celebrate all things Ghostbusters on June 8. We are not worthy.
The Ghostbusters crews will be hitting up Jimmy Kimmel Live on the anniversary of the first film’s release. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts will join new cast members Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
Talk about epic! Thank you, Jimmy Kimmel, for making this happen.
“Seeing the original and new Ghostbusters all together (will be) like being in the presence of the comedy gods on Mount Olympus,” new Ghostbusters director Paul Feig told USA Today in a statement. “This is an epic summit of some of the funniest people on the planet. Long live the Ghostbusters!”
However, the Ghostbusters reboot has come under major scrutiny from fans. Dan put the haters to rest after seeing the new movie. “As originator of the original: Saw test screening of new movie,” he said. “Apart from brilliant, genuine performances from the cast both female and male, it has more laughs and more scares than the first 2 films.”
Many of the original cast members, except for Harold Ramis, who died in 2014, will be returning for a cameo appearance in the reboot. The new Ghostbusters will hit theaters on July 15, 2016.
