There is yet another twist in the saga that is the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard divorce. Now, Johnny’s assistant is slamming the text messages being passed around as completely fake — claiming that they’ve been altered. Wow.
Johnny Depp, 52, has yet another person standing by his side in the fight against his estranged wife, Amber Heard, 30, and her allegations of domestic violence. His assistant, Stephen Deuters, has spoken out in regards to text messages that were “leaked” online and allegedly showed a conversation between him and Amber.
Well, we’re not quite sure what to make of this. Stephen Deuters directly contacted TMZ to tell them that the texts they posted earlier in the day on Thursday, June 2, were not, in fact, an actual conversation between him and Amber Heard. Totally bizarre. To hear more about Johnny and Amber, head over to iTunes and download the latest HollywoodLife podcast for free!
The texts in questions allegedly showed a conversation between Stephen and Amber, in which he is profusely apologizing for Johnny kicking Amber. The conversation also shows them briefly discussing other incidents, though now the report claims that the screen grabs have been “heavily doctored.” It also points out that the grabs are suspicious because they don’t show any dates as most iMessage conversations do.
Stephen has confirmed that he is standing by Johnny in this case, and that is more than willing to testify under oath that he never once had a conversation about any violent outbursts with Amber. He also added that Johnny has never been violent with anyone he knows during the time he has known him. Wild.
This shocking turn of events comes on the very same day that new photos of Johnny getting into an argument with his own bodyguard surfaced online. In the pictures, Johnny appears enraged with a man reported to be his bodyguard, because he wanted to stay out and party with his fans. However, the bodyguard was persistent in trying to convince the well-known actor it was time to be cut-off and taken home. Hmm.
