‘Angie Tribeca’ is back! Season 2 of Rashida Jones’ police show satire premieres June 6, and we spoke to Andrée Vermeulen, who stars as medical examiner Dr. Monica Scholls (get it?), about what’s in store for this season.
Angie Tribeca is one of the most hilarious shows out there, and it sounds like season 2 is going to be even better than the first! Andrée Vermeulen told HollywoodLife.com all about the new episodes, including what to expect from Dr. Scholls, Angie Tribeca (Rashida Jones) and the rest of the gang, plus amazing guest stars like Maya Rudolph. Check it out!
Andrée tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that this season will be way darker than the last. “I love this season. It’s a little bit darker, visually it’s darker, lighting is less bright. You see more of the personal turmoil for the characters,” she shares. “There’s an overarching case, whereas in Season 1, each episode is more contained. For Scholls, you’ll see a side of her that is really interesting, like what would it look like if a robot fell in love. You see her love life, her domestic life, which is weird. It’s as weird as you could imagine it to be.” Sounds awesome!
Of course, we’re all looking forward to seeing comedy queen Maya Rudolph guest star this season, too. “She’s so good and funny and is the nicest person you will ever encounter,” Andrée gushes. “She was one of the only people I can’t not break around. It’s so hard to not laugh around her…It was a wonderful twist of fate that I actually got to be in a scene with her.” We can’t wait to see how it all goes down!
HollywoodLifers, tune into the Season 2 premiere of Angie Tribeca on June 6 at 9:00 PM EST on TBS!
