OMG! We’re freaking out over here. Not only is it the 10-year anniversary of the debut of ‘The Hills’ on MTV, but the cast recently sat down for some interviews, during which they revealed there have been talks of reviving the series! And no, we’re not joking. Check it out!
The Hills may be making a major comeback, and on the 10-year anniversary of the series’ debut on MTV, we’ve discovered a large number of the cast members would be so “into” filming new episodes! This NEEDS to happen.
Justin Bobby, whose real name is actually Justin Brescia, told ET that The Hills creator Adam DiVello recently reached out to him about a potential deal. Adam also brought up Netflix as a potential new home for the series.
“He was like, ‘We kind of want everybody in,’ and it was the first time in a long time I was like, ‘Yeah, let’s do it!’” Brescia, 34, shared. “I figure now is a good enough time.”
Executive producer Liz Gateley added, “I know that there were some rumblings about it, but I don’t think it’s happening — yet, anyway. It would be great to do it, though. It would be nice to see them all together — just even in a reunion, directors’ chair [sit-down style of] special would be interesting.”
Whitney said she heard “rumblings” of a revival before adding, “I would definitely be down. I think it would be fun.” However, she thinks “it would definitely be hard” to get everyone together to film new episodes.” But if they did, she said “it would be different. It would be cool to see where everybody’s lives are at, now that we’re all grown up and everybody’s got big, interesting lives.”
Meanwhile, Kristin told ET, “We’ll see! I mean, we all are in such different places in our lives, you know? Everyone is getting married, everyone is having babies, so we’ll see. But, I think it would be fun. I would be into it.”
So would we! This would be the best reboot ever.
